"Home care" encompasses a broad spectrum of both health and social services that can be delivered to persons who are disabled, chronically ill or recovering from an illness in a more comfortable home environment. These services include the traditional core of professional nursing and home care aide services as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social services and nutritional services.

The Home Care Association of New York State, Inc. (HCA) and its home health care provider members work to promote excellence and support high-quality, cost-effective home care and community services to the citizens of New York State.

HCA offers access to a professional and courteous staff to assist members on state and federal legislation, regulations, and reimbursement issues pertinent to the home health field.
